Unhinged Cover Release + Giveaway

My new book, Unhinged, is finished! It still needs to go through my editor so won't be available for at least a few weeks, but I'm so excited I figured I'd do something to celebrate! :) So, along with this cover release, I'm offering up a giveaway for three ebook copies of the book! Join below through rafflecopter and possibly be one of the first who gets to read it! For some reason, I loved writing this book more then I have many of my others. I just fell in love with the characters and I hope that you all do as well. This started out as just a single project, a story that I've needed to tell for a while but just kept brushing aside. That might be why the characters refused to keep it to a single books length. This is now going to be the first book in a series called The Underworld Saga. Also, for those of you who don't already know via past posts, this is a teen paranormal book loosely based off of the Persephone Greek myth. Without further ado, here's the blurb, cover, and the giveaway! Let me know what you guys think!

Six Months in the Underworld
With the god of the Dead...

Spencer Perry lost everything the day her boyfriend died. Even when he came back as a ghost, she was never able to return to her old self. Determined to find a way to bring both of them back--him from the dead and her from her depression--Spencer hops a ride with a Reaper across the river to the Underworld where she meets the god of the dead. Hadrian isn't what she expected Hades to be like, but when he agrees to a deal that can get her Micah back, she puts all caution aside and accepts. Too bad she didn't realize that she'd also just accepted a lot more then one gorgeous yet frustrating god. Bad things are happening all around her, and now she not only has to worry about keeping Micah's ghost status a secret from their friends, but also figure out who's behind all of the accidents. All signs point towards Hadrian, but something about that just doesn't feel right to her. Something that she hopes has nothing to do with her growing attraction towards him.

News News News! (Including info on new book)!

So I have a ton to share with all of you (including ways you can win free books)! There are also going to be a LOOOT of links, so prepare to be bombarded!!! I'd like to start off by just mentioning that I'm a featured author in the Goodreads group, Fantasy and Vampire Book Club! There's an interview which can be found here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1199840-february-2013-q-a-tempest-avery so go and check it out to find out more about me, my writing, and my writing process! I'd just like to thank Adele for conducting the interview and giving me the chance to share some information about me :)

In other news, my book review blog, The Window Seat, recently got a goodreads group page, so if you haven't already you should go and join! Here's the link to that: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/92987-paranormal-and-fantasy-in-the-window-seat and even better is the fact that we're also hosting a Cover Contest! Enter and you can possibly win book prizes!!! Here's a link straight to that: http://readinginthewindowseat.blogspot.com/2013/01/cover-contest-prize-givaway.html . This contest lasts all through February!

Turn Me On has so far received so pretty good reviews so I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who've read and reviewed it so far! I really appreciate all the great feedback I've been getting as well as the time you've all taken to leave reviews so that others will see what you've thought. Reviews are a big deal and they really do help a lot of people decide whether or not they want to read a book. For those of you who haven't read it yet, it's still only $0.99 on Smashwords.com where you can download copies for your Kindle, Nook, iReader, etc. There's even the option of PDF files so if you don't have an ereader you can still check it out on your computer! Just click the cover image to the right to go straight to where you can purchase it!

Now for my last bit of news, those of you who also follow The Window Seat Blog have already heard about this new book I've been working on but I have yet to mention anything about it here. I've been waiting until I was sure I was fully invested in it before saying anything, but now that I'm over one hundred pages in...well, clearly I am. Unhinged is a book separate from any of my series which is sort of a retelling of the Persephone myth. I've always loved Greek mythology and always told myself I would eventually get around to writing a book revolving around it. I don't have a blurb yet, but do have a cover. Sorry to say, I won't show you that until a little closer to release date which I haven't quite figured out yet. I'm not even half way done with writing it, and then it's got to go through my editor and what not so...It won't be AT LEAST till March. I'll keep you posted on that. I'll also be adding a page here for my editor so any of you looking for someone to edit your work can check her out! She's very good and great to work with! I'll have more on that later. Like I said, I don't have an official blurb, however, I will tell you a little bit more about it so below I've placed a temporary "blurb". ;)

Spencer Perry lost everything the day her boyfriend died. Even when he came back as a ghost, she was never able to return to her old self. Determined to find a way to bring both of them back--him from the dead and her from her depression--Spencer inadvertently hops a ride with a grim reaper to the Underworld where she meets the god of the dead. Hadrian isn't what she expected Hades to be like, but when he agrees to a deal that can get her Micah back, she puts all caution aside and accepts. Too bad she didn't realize that she'd also just accepted a lot more then one gorgeous yet frustrating god. Well, there you have it. It's very rough, but it gives you all an idea of what to look forward to in Unhinged! :)
