Happy New Years!

Hey everyone! So it's been a while since I posted anything so I figured why not start the New Years off with something, right?! :) Anywho, hope everyone is well (and for those of you who are in areas with snow, keeping warm)! Just a quick reminder, the third book in the Dreamer trilogy is out now and available for only $2.99! You can get your copy by clicking on the cover image for Amid the Roar on the right sidebar. Also, my NaNoWriMo novel for this year will be available soon! It's currently going through the editing process so...I'll keep you posted so keep coming back to check.

In other news, I'm working on the first stand alone book in the Three Realm Series, which revolves around Flynn and a mortal girl named Emma. Those of you who loved the characters from the Dreamer trilogy won't want to miss this one! ;) That's all I'm willing to divulge at this point. I've decided that I'm going to be holding a contest pretty soon. Maybe even two. We'll see. The first will last a few months and involve giving away some goodies, while the second...who knows. For those of you who don't know, I run a book review blog with my best friend called, The Window Seat Blog (the link of which can be found at the bottom left). We're thinking about holding a cover contest where we present you all with a cover (probably created by us) and you give us a cool/funky/awesome/unique title. There will be prizes, we just haven't decided what yet. Again, keep checking back for news about that one. :) I'll have details about the other contest probably by the end of this week or tonight...depends on how I feel and what I can come up with. I know for a fact that one of the prizes will be a necklace just like the main characters' in the Dreamer trilogy, Lily.

Let me know if you're interested (that'll speed up the whole putting everything together process because it'll motivate me) by leaving a comment. Thanks to everyone who's been following and for everyone who's checked out the trilogy or any of my other works!

Amid the Roar Giveaway!!!

It all comes down to this...
                        Who will Lily choose...
                                   Who will rule Bevain...
And most importantly, what is Ronan's actual eye color?

Lol, just kidding on that last part! (Sorta). Figured Ronan lovers would like a little mention of him specifically ;). So the third book in the Dreamer trilogy is complete! It's going through editing right now, but should be available for purchase sometime within the next two weeks! :) For those of you who've been waiting, here's your chance to win a FREE ebook copy of Amid the Roar! Just enter below and three lucky winners will receive emails from me December 5th! The cover was released a few weeks ago, but here's the blurb for the first time below, and be sure to keep reading afterwards for more important info on the Three Realm series, the continuation of the trilogy world:

Lily Bryg never thought she would end up magically locked away in Graindoth with Ronan. And actually kind of liking it. Now that she's bound to the castle for three days, he's let down some of his walls, giving her a look at a side of him she never knew existed. But how could she be starting to like the guy who not only ruined her life, but the lives of her friends as well? The fate of the entire realm rests with her, and in order to become the Dreamer of prophecy, Lily is going to have to start making choices she wouldn't have made only three months ago. Her fellow witches are trying to find a way to help her, while juggling their own love lives and the Rebellion at the same time.

Add to the equation the fact she's still very much in love with both Devlin werewolves, and her traitorous bestfriend is living in the castle with her, and Lily's troubles just keep growing larger and larger. When in doubt Lily and her friends have always turned to magic for guidance, and now their desperately struggling to form alliances with dragons and faeries before the final battle. She needs to figure out her heart, her soul mate, and decide once and for all how she plans on taking the throne. What king of ruler she wants to be, and who she really wants to rule at her side.

Demons and dark fey she can handle, but making a choice like this might just kill her.

This is a rough idea for the blurb, so it'll probably be a little polished later on, but so far I like it. :) Anywho, as I've been mentioning since the beginning of this trilogy, this was always meant to branch off into a larger series. The trilogy will complete Lily's story, but there are so many others to be told. The next book, for instance, will revolve around Flynn and what happens when he finally finds the rightful Summer queen. For those of you who fell in love with characters in the trilogy, I'm happy to say that some of them will be making appearances throughout the series as well. Another important bit of news, now that the trilogy is complete, I'm going to be coming out with four short novellas, each one focused on the Four (minus Lily) and Bran. I'll have more info on that at a later date, but, each novella will have three parts, one for the past, one for the present (deleted scenes from during the trilogy), and one for the "future" (directly after the trilogy). I'm looking forward to showing you all a glimpse into Ruarc, Caer, Brid, and Bran's worlds without having that focal point of Lily. Alright well, questions if you've got them are welcomed, and here is the giveaway:

Excerpt:

“It’s a Celtic double spiral,” he began, starting with the basics. “It stands for eternal life.”
“There’s more to it then that.”
He smirked at her. “It also stands for the balance of the worlds, the give and take that makes up the universe. The equinox’s; when day and night last the same amount of time. Light and dark. Life and death. These things move on eternally. The only way to stop them is by destroying the balance, but without balance, everything would crumble. The realms would cease to exit, caving in on each other, ultimately destroying one another.”
“Why did you choose it as your mark?”
“I’m half witch, Lily,” he told her, “and half fey. Balance is all I know. It’s the single most important fact. Why do you think I believe so strongly that you’re my soul mate? Because you are the light to my darkness. The good to my evil. You and I will live for eternity, and we can do it together. Two halves forming one soul.” He flashed her a devilish grin. “Lily and Ronan.”
She’d never heard their names together like that before, and more tingles shot up her spine. A part of her tried to tell her that it was right, but the rest of her—clearly the more sane parts—knew that it was wrong.
“This is crazy,” she said, glancing towards the window. “We aren’t soul mates. Being soul mates is all about a give and take. There’s nothing you can give me but darkness, and if that’s all I’m getting, how is that balance? You’re evil, and what’s more, you like being evil.”
She could see his reflection through the glass, but she pretended to be looking at the dark waves crashing against the shore outside instead. He was frowning, the gesture creating a dip between his brows. His hands were resting on his knees once more, and he still leaned forward in his seat as if trying to get closer to her without actually moving from his perch.
“After my parents were killed I lost sight of the world. All I know is the darkness, Dreamer. The pain. I look at people and I sense their ability for malice, and spite. Hatred and vindictiveness practically ooze out of their pores. You might not recall what people are truly capable of, but I do. It’s something I can never forget. My entire family was taken from me in one brutal night.”
“You’ve got to see the sun sometimes, Ronan,” she told him quietly. “Plenty of people lose their loved ones and don’t turn into murderers. Not everyone is bad, there’s still good in the world.”
When he stood her head snapped back around and she braced herself. This was all new territory, speaking to him in this room, talking about his past. Up until today she’d never known anything personal about him. Hell, she still didn’t even know the actual color of his eyes.
He stepped closer, moving slowly as if stalking prey, holding her gaze locked with his own the entire time. Once he was standing directly next to the window seat he stopped, his tall frame hovering over hers. The light overhead cast shadows dancing on his face. He dropped to a crutch so fast that she jumped a little, and when he took her hands in his she swore her heart stopped.
“I see the beauty of the world through your eyes, Lily,” he whispered. “I can’t see it through my own.”

Amid the Roar coming soon! And if you haven't already read the first two books, you can click the links to the right and go do so now! :)
